Cryosphere-atmosphere interactions in a changing Arctic climate (CRAICC) NCoE CRAICC is, together with NCoE SVALI and NCoE DEFROST, within the TRI
sub-programme “Interaction between Climate Change and the Cryosphere” (ICCC).
The main objective of CRAICC is:
- To identify and quantify the major processes controlling Arctic warming and related feedback mechanisms,
- To outline strategies to mitigate Arctic warming
- To develop Nordic Earth System modeling
- FOCUS: short-lived climate forcers (SLCF), including natural and anthropogenic aerosols

The Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS)
APECS offers, together with the University of the Arctic and the International Antarctic Institute, a great new resource for young researchers looking for graduate programmes related to polar and cryospheric research and to help graduate programmes recruit new students. Have a look at APECS graduate-programmes.
This searchable database includes graduate and certificate programs, as well as short courses that have a focus or specialty in any field of Arctic, Antarctic, Alpine or other areas within the cryosphere – ranging from social sciences and law to ecology, geology, physics and more.
