2 year postdoctoral position at the Greenland climate Research Center

Applications are invited for a 24 month position at the Greenland climate Research Center (GCRC) in collaboration with the University Centre in Svalbard (UNIS). A postdoctoral position is available in an emerging field focused on quantification of the impact of aerosols on glacier ice albedo. The importance of solar radiation for melting of glacier ice in summertime emphasizes the importance of establishing quantitative surface albedo models for predicting future melt. The candidate will join the Nordic Centre of Excellence SVALI and participate in joint efforts involving collection and interpretation of data, exploration of glaciological processes, and development of Earth Systems Models and predicting future evolution of glaciers.
